The Made in England Vintage collection is handcrafted by our Northamptonshire factory cobblers using original construction techniques — plus Quilon, our rare, original specification Dr. Martens leather. Thick and full-grain with a matte finish, this leather only gets better with age.

This unisex 1460 boot is made with all the classic Doc’s DNA, including grooved sides, heel-loop and yellow stitching. Built to last, it’s made using one of the finest methods of construction: the Goodyear Welt — which means the upper and sole are sewn together in our heat-sealed z-welt stitch. The boot sits on our iconic AirWair™ sole, which is oil and fat resistant, with good abrasion and slip resistance.

Material

Quilon Leather is crafted using traditional processes and features a contrast base colour for a two-tone finish.

Care Instructions

[Quilon] = Clean Away dirt using a damp cloth, allow to dry apply correct coloured wax based shoe polish to restore colour and shine level as desired.

Construction

This is a Goodyear-welted product. The upper and sole are heat-sealed and sewn together, not merely glued like many footwear constructions.
